International Airport
Cancún International Airport (CUN) is 20 miles from Maroma with international connections throughout the United States and Europe.

Identification Requirements
U.S. citizens only require a valid passport or original birth certificate and photo ID.  Visitors from other countries may need a visa.  Upon entry you will receive a Mexican Tourist Card which must be kept with you always and then shown on your departure.  If it is lost contact the Local Immigration Office.

Sales Tax
There is a 10% value added tax (IVA) on all retail items except medicine.  This has generally already been included into the good.  Some luxury items have a higher IVA.

Water
Purified water is used in the hotel for drinks and ice.  It is vital that only bottled water is drunk when away from the hotel.

Health Risks
Chagas' disease, cholera, dengue fever, filariasis, hepatitis, rabies, tetanus, typhoid are illnesses that one should be aware of.

Electricity
The standard current is 110 volt AC.

Dress Code
We respectfully request the cooperation of our guests in maintaining the ambiance of gracious informality for which the Caribbean is known.  In public areas, during the day, shorts or a dry bathing suit with a beach wrap or cover-up are perfectly acceptable.

After sunset, swimwear is not permitted in the Main Building.  Gentlemen are required to wear slacks and collared shirts in the restaurant.  Ladies will feel coomfortable in resort wear - dresses, skirts or evening slacks.

Laundry
This is provided for at the hotel and we will do our best to return it the same day. Dry cleaning is sent to Cancun and will take two days.

Evening Entertainment
The resort is also able to book live music events with three weeks notice.
