Hospitality
Anfitrionas are in the beach kiosk, the Hospitality office and the dining room throughout the day and evening to answer questions and arrange tours, activities and transportation. They also have an extensive selection of videos and a library of special books. They also have an extensive selection of movies, music CD’s and games. The Hospitality office is at the entrance of the hotel or at the Beach Desk at the tunnel.
All arrangements for tours, activities, spa services and special dinners can be arranged through Edgar Niebla eportillo@maromahotel.com or through Hospitality Services at hospitalidad@maromahotel.com.
"Handmade Hospitality" describes the total ambiance of Maroma and our philosophy of taking care of our guests on a very individual, tailored-to-fit basis. Nearly every request can be accommodated - arrangements for a celebration, information about a special interest, special dietary needs, etc. We would be delighted to help you.
Boutique
Located on the left side of the motor Lobby, the boutique carries several unique, one of a kind items most of which are handmade in Mexico. These include clothing, jewelry, pottery, glass and other handcrafted items; a selection of original oil paintings, watercolors, serigraphs and photographs; sun lotion, sun glasses, hats, cameras, postcards, etc. Open from 9 am to 6 pm daily.
Theatre “El Violoncello” Our multi-media theatre, located near the north end of the swimming pool behind the Rosa building, seats up to 50 people in air conditioned comfort and has a state-of –the-art sound and projection system. The theatre is available for small group meetings and private functions.
Marina
We have a full array of water activities right in our back yard. See our water activity team for snorkeling, sailing and diving. As for fishing, check with Hospitality about all the different possibilities: bottom fishing, deep sea or fly fishing.
Cultural Palapa
We welcome you in our Cultural Palapa with air-conditioning where you will be able to watch a wide selection of TV programs in our screen. If you wish to relax, you can ask the Hospitality staff for the movie selection. You will find an interesting collection of cultural books and information on the Mayan Culture.
El Tambor Library
Our air-conditioned TV room is stocked with paperback novels and magazines as well as a television and a DVD player. A collection of fine art books about the Riviera Maya, Maya people, Mayan culture, Mexico, birds, health, Mexican kitchen, and haciendas, videos and games could also be found.
Laundry
Laundry service is provided at the hotel, dry cleaning is sent to Cancun and requires two days. Please leave dry cleaning with Hospitality.
Transportation
We can arrange transportation in chauffeured, air-conditioned Expedition vans for up to 6 people. Rental cars are also available and can be arranged through the Hospitality office.
Money Exchange
Mexico’s official currency is the Peso, however in the Riviera Maya’s area, the American Dollar is accepted in almost all stores and restaurants. Should you desire to exchange Dollars to Pesos, you may do so in the Hospitality Office.
Tennis
Maroma has two tennis courts in site that you can use freely just by making reservation in Hospitality. If you wish to improve your game or have a tennis lesson, please contact our Hospitality department to arrange a Tennis Pro, and allow 24 hours notice. |
