Wine Cellar
Welcome to the Wine Cellar at Maroma Resort and Spa.
My name is Kami Robb and I took over the position of sommelier here in late January 2008 after graduating from the International Sommelier Guild in August 2006 and then working in various tourism locales in North America, México, and the Caribbean. My goal is to bring the wine list here at Maroma up to an international level with respect to quantity of choice and selectivity of wines offered. |
I believe that a great wine list respects diversity and features current as well as older vintages including rare wines, half bottles, and verticals. It pays homage not only to the classic regions and varietals but also to budding wineries and undiscovered gems. I firmly believe in finding value in every wine that I select for the list, honouring local winemakers and international icons alike.
Our wine list currently offers 348 labels and is growing all the time, with plans to reach 400 selections by the close of 2008. Staying true to Maroma’s philosophy of “handmade hospitality” there is a strong focus on premium Mexican wines, augmented by healthy offerings from Spain, Chile, Argentina, France and the USA.
I hope that you will enjoy perusing this list as you gaze out over the Caribbean Sea on your next visit to Maroma, our little patch of paradise.
