MAROMA RESORT and SPA APPOINTS FEDERICO ECHAIZ AS MANAGING DIRECTOR RIVIERA MAYA, MEXICO (June 18, 2007) – Maroma Resort and Spa appoints Federico Echaiz as Managing Director of this luxurious, authentic Mexican hideaway, a member of the Orient-Express collection of properties. Echaiz will look after Maroma’s 65 lavish rooms and suites as well as its uniquely designed Kinan Spa. Echaiz previously served as Resort Manager of Rosewood’s Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Los Cabos.
With more than 20 years of hospitality experience, Echaiz is a veteran of the luxury hotel industry. He has held positions around the world from the Middle East and Asia, to Central and South America, including Executive Assistant Manager, Food & Beverage at the Ritz-Carlton and the Hyatt Regency in Santiago, as well as Director, Food & Beverage at the Park Hyatt Mendoza & Regency Casino Mendoza in Argentina. Echaiz holds a degree in Hotel Management from the Inacap Hotel School in Santiago, Chile.
